'Blasts in Bengal exceed Russia-Ukraine war's unused bombs', Shubhendu Adhikari's scathing attack on Mamata

In a tragic incident that occurred on Sunday evening, an explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in Bajaj, West Bengal claimed the lives of three individuals, including a minor. The incident has sparked a political tug-of-war in the state, with opposition parties criticizing the government's handling of illegal firecracker factories.

From BJP's National Vice President Dilip Ghosh to Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari have criticized the Mamta government.

The opposition alleges that the ruling party is indifferent in taking action against illegal firecracker factories in Mamta Banerjee's government. Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari has attacked CM Mamta Banerjee. After the blast in the illegal factory of Budge Budge, tension is natural there since Monday morning. Diamond Harbor police have been searching the area since morning for explosives. So far 34 people have been arrested in this incident.

BJP's National Vice President Dilip Ghosh said that it brings good income. That's why mostly poor people work there. Where there are firecracker factories, there is an atmosphere of fear. He had gone to Agra. All the women working there were from very simple poor families.

He said that I do not understand that this is happening again and again, why the government is not aware. Everything is in the knowledge of the police. It has become a habit to eat money everywhere. There have been more blasts in Bengal than Russia-Ukraine war- Shubhendu Adhikari

Russia began their invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. I think if one calculates & compares the number of explosions that have taken place on Ukrainian soil until now, the number would be fewer than the explosions that took place in West Bengal during this timeframe .

Shubhendu Adhikari compared the explosion in West Bengal to the Russia-Ukraine war regarding the explosion in the illegal firecracker factory of Budge Budge. He said in his tweet that in one year of the war, more explosions took place in Bengal than the number of bombs dropped by Russia on the land of Ukraine.

Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh reacted strongly to the Leader of the Opposition's tweet regarding the blast. Referring to Sivakasi, the famous satta district of Tamil Nadu, he said, “There was a blast there too. Therefore, the explosion in the firecracker factory was just an accident. He said that nothing else should always be added to it. Cracker making is an occupation in Bengal, but we have to see whether the explosives being recovered were out of proportion?
